Although you describe the 36 mm watch's taper as large (which it is), I think it is a massive comfort bonus and I appreciate that, especially in hotter environments. It surprised me that even with that degree of taper the watch does not feel dainty. I have a 6.8 inch wrist. Note; make sure you measure the correct wrist, as there may be a significant difference between dominant and non dominant wrists. The Rolex bracelet is more comfortable than my BB58 bracelet , even though the BB58 is not even 40 mm. I sometimes fret about size, but it is only fashion & marketing pushing me. It will be interesting to see if my opinion changes. If 36mm was good enough for Mr Fleming and the Everest mob then it should be good enough for me. 40 mm sounds too big when I consider how easy this 36 mm watch is to wear, but I haven't seen a 40 mm to confirm that.

It is very classic. If you want a toy with buttons and sub dials this is not the watch for you. It will over time remain a classic, the other will be also runners.

So it would be nice to have, as I have purchased and owned a fair few Tudors over the last forty years, and I'm ok with paying around $6,000 as the Tudor rep stated while being interviewed in a youtube clip a couple of days ago. So I jump on the www can only find two available for sale, bargain I can get them for just under $22,000...... Ok I'm not going to buy one at that price, I'll just jump on Tudors www and just have a dream, bugger someone forgot to put it on there.

You do not need 500m or even just 200m if all you are doing is wearing it in a shower lol Surprisingly Tudor have 17 models in their range, but the FXD blue is my favourite. The only downside is a non-durable fabric/nylon strap for the money.

Exactly right. I have three Pelagos models. They are all fantastic. My P42 LHD is my everyday everything beater / beta. At the moment I have my P FXD on. I never even go swimming in them. Just love the look and the toughness. These are the watches that Rolex should make, but don't want to, as there's more money in shiny.

I own two IWC watches and they are great, I have a Big Pilot 43 green dial and an IWC Pilots Chronograph Woodlands , awesome watches that aren't the usual boring option of Rolex, Tudor and Omega for example of which I own a few of but my IWC's are cooler and more fun and the IWC boutique experience is the best I have ever had, absolutely second to known, in fact this experience alone makes me want to buy more (Ive been collecting watches for 26 years and have owned most of the iconic brands)

Lets be honest, if its not a clomage of an old Rolex, it doesn't sell. Tudor only exists to sell homages. That's why this is overlooked.

The absolute best thing CW has done since this review came out is to ditch the lettering and go with the twin flag logo. It gives their watches the reserved, elegant distinction they so desperately needed. The Trident counterbalance also seems to be finding its way into a brand design callout. I've never seen another watch brand use it, and it is instantly recognizable as a CW now. I got the bronze C60 300, and it's a brilliant watch, but the hands & indices are identical, and I don't need my watchbox filled with such a similar watch.

Tudor made me realize I would never need a rolex Okay .. the OP maybe 🙈 Edit- this watch has the most satisfying shade of blue

All points are wrong. The dial indices, the hands are all wrong, not at all similar to legacy Seamaster 300 DNA. The move to 6 o'clock position for the date is an improvement. Now there is symmetry to the dial. That version also seems to have an anodized aluminum bezel insert too. The bracelet is terrible too. Uses male end links for an inferior fit and appearance. The helium escape valve is more better looking now being tapered. This version was the equivalent of New Coke.

This is my first Tudor (my first luxury watch). I have the redbull edition and I absolutely love it. I honestly prefer Tudor over Rolex. Not because I can’t afford it. Tudor is just making really cool stuff.

I recently saw a Stova pilot's watch in 36 mm and it was really nice, and cost 1200 Euros.
